Farfaraoasis
   Ancient Egyptian Ta-ihu. An oasis in the Western Desert between the Dakhla Oasis and the Bahariya Oasis. It is possibly mentioned in the famous stela of Kamose. It is cited in later records, but little excavation has taken place there and no pharaonic remains have been uncovered. An Italian expedition has been examining Palaeolithic and Neolithic remains in the oasis.
